Chapter 7 Amendment to Schedules

It is necessary to amend schedules and the list of creditors (a/k/a matrix) when the debtor:

 

  • Adds creditors (this includes when adding an address for a creditor that previously had no address on the matrix)
  • Removes creditors
  • Changes the amount of a debt
  • Changes the classification of a debt

 

When amended schedules D, E/F, or the matrix, the debtor must pay a filing fee.

 

  The ECF system will access a filing fee for each filing.  To avoid multiple charges, the filer file all the amended schedules and the matrix as one transaction (filing)

*No fee is due when an amendment:

 

  • changes an address for an attorney.

  • changes an address for a creditor listed on the matrix with an address. If amending to add an address for a creditor listed without an address, the debtor must pay a fee.

  • adds an attorney representing a creditor.
