Generally, Interpleader Funds ("Disputed Ownership Funds") are monies held by another party, but the party does not know to whom the funds belong.

Only upon court order may a party transmit Disputed Ownership Funds to the Clerk of Court to deposit in the Court's registry, pending the court's ruling of the rightful owner.

See Release Registry Fund from Court Registry to disburse non-interpleader funds from the court's registry.
