Redeem Property (Motion)

11 U.S.C. § 722

 

A Motion to Redeem Property of the Estate offers the debtor another way to remove a lien from exempt or abandoned property.

 

An individual debtor or the trustee may redeem tangible personal property intended primarily for personal, family, or household use, from a lien securing a dischargeable consumer debt.  Redemptions are dealt with under Chapter 7 cases only.
