If  § 1141(d)(3) applies and the debtor is an individual in order to receive a discharge: Fed. R. Bankr. P. 1007(B)(7)


To receive a discharge in a 11 case an individual debtor (the "Debtor") must complete an approved personal financial management course (the "Course") and file Official Form 423 Certification About a Financial Management Course if the financial management course provider (the "Provider") does not notify the court that the Debtor has completed the Course.


Certification is due no later than the date when the last payment was made by the debtor as required by the plan or filing of a motion for entry of hardship discharge under 11 U.S.C. § 1141(d)(5)(B). Fed. R. Bankr. P. 1007(c)


  • If joint case each debtor must file a Certification.  

  • The Debtor may not file the certificate of completion in lieu of the Certification form.
