Appearance of Child Support Creditor

Section 304(g) of the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1994 (Public Law No. 103-394).  

 

The above provision permits child support creditors to appear and intervene without charge, and without meeting any special local court requirement for attorney appearances, in any bankruptcy proceeding upon the filing of a court form detailing the status of the child support debt. Filing Options:

 

A.

File Form With Pleading

 

 

1.

File pleading using the appropriate docket event; uploading the form as an attachment.**

 

  or

 

 

B.

File Form Separate from Pleading

 

 

1.

File pleading using the appropriate docket event.**

 

 

2.

File B2810 form using the below docket event.  Filer must relate the document to the related pleading.

 

 

 

 

**Important:  When the pleading requires a filing fee, the filer must enter "Exempt" in the receipt field. If the receipt field is left blank, the filer incurs a filing fee.
