Notice of Proposed Abandonment of Property of the Estate

Fed. R. Bankr. P. 6007(a) requires the trustee or debtor in possession give notice providing 14 days (or a time period fixed by the court) for filing objections to their proposed abandonment or disposition of property.

 

The below event is used when the notice provides a 14 day objection period. The objection deadline is calculated based on the date the notice is served.  The filer must enter the service date during the docketing process.

 

Notice must be given to:

  • US trustee
  • all creditors
  • indenture trustees, and
  • committees elected pursuant to § 705 or appointed pursuant to § 1102 of the Code
