Rev. 1/15/2019
The debtor may convert a voluntary chapter 11 case to chapter 7, as long as the case was not previously converted to a chapter 11. If the case was previously converted to a chapter 11, the debtor must give a 21-day notice (to all creditors/parties of interest including the previous trustee (if any)).
The court may convert a chapter 11 case to chapter 7, on the request of any party in interest or the United States Trustee, after notice and opportunity for a hearing.
